Taking Care Of Your Brass Guido Razor

Steven Tinter

just a very quick note to let you know how to care for your brass razor.

The Guido razor and stand is made from raw, C360, brass. It has no surface treatment applied at all. No plating, no paint, nothing. just pure brass.

Over time the razor will develop a patina - the acid from your hands and the water and soap you are using will darken and mark the surface. If you want ot allow this to happen then just leave it and let the character build. If you want to keep your razor and stand shiny I recommend Brasso or some other GENTLE fine metal polish and a soft cloth. below are some links to some suitable metal polishes on Amazon (I do get a commision if you buy from Amazon)

To prevent build-up of patina AFTER polishing you might want to use a specialised, light wax. I recommend Renaissance Wax Polish https://amzn.to/469wHnj
